About Us

We believe that each player represents four things when they take the field. The Flag of life.

1. Faith: At the top of that flag we place our Faith or beliefs.
2. Family: Next, we place our Family: mom(s), dad(s), grandparents, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
3. Friends: Then we place our friends, whom we will play along-side and against.
4. Themselves: Lastly, themselves, as we are the Pole and String that holds the flag to surge through whatever is thrown our way. We represent our Faith, Family, and Friends, and we will not let them down.

To instill strong values, baseball IQ, and skills in our athletes that will lead to them being competitive, talented and elevated among peers. TEAM mentality will be taught and encouraged for every athlete. Individual and team development are both focal points.

Individuals will be helped to build self-confidence and mental toughness that will carry them through the highs and lows of the sport of baseball and life experiences.

Teams will be challenged to become the premier team within their age group, and SURGE above the competition.

We are an organization that helps develop young athletes into leaders on the field as well as in classrooms and beyond. No matter what happens, our athletes learn that it is the SURGE inside them that will make the world a better place. Athletes learn how to become independent leaders, and channel the internal power necessary to gain respect among peers and their competition. Each day our coaches and athletes will strive to be the best they can be.

After representing the Warstic name for two years starting in fall 2021 with a 7U team that was formed with a handful of players from the Corinth All-Stars Spring 2021 team; Coaches Wes Shivers, Brandon Mabry, and Averon Edwards decided to move the boys to select baseball.

Coach Wes Shivers and Jim McBride already had a Warstic team for older players, so the decision was made to develop a Warstic 8U team. We spent two years (Fall 2021 -Spring 2023) under the Warstic umbrella, however our players preferred to use bats that were outside of the Warstic brand. Collectively, the coaches agreed we needed to create our own organization and stand for something more than just a brand name. A group of devoted baseball moms gathered on May 28, 2023 in Oklahoma City during the 5GG Memorial Day Shootout and workshopped the name- Surge Baseball. The name stands for so much that we as a team value and it was an immediate match for our players, parents and coaches.

Starting Fall of 2023 Team Warstic Denton will be called Surge Baseball. Fear the Power!
